Course Length: Half Day (4 Hours)

DESCRIPTION:

Audience: 

Content Creators and Editors who use NonVisual Desktop Access software. Any staff who are responsible for creating documents for public consumption such as Public Information Officers, Executive Assistants, Office Technicians.

Prerequisites: 

Windows and MS Office keys and shortcuts, Basic/Intermediate MS Office documentation experience, understanding of remediation process, basic knowledge of MS Word Styles, Templates, and HTML tags. Windows version 8 and above, 512 Gb RAM, 100 Gb Storage and Speakers or Headphones.

Course Content:

– Introduction to Windows Accessibility 

– NVDA Basics 

– File Navigation using keyboard 

– Document management (File edit, format etc.)

– Web browsing and NVDA 

   – Chrome, Edge etc.

   – Web Forms  

– Advanced NVDA Configuration

– Review Cursor 

– Navigation 

– Additional Accessibility Areas of Interest 

Testing

– Using NVDA
